Location Scouting!
Yesterday, Elaine, Siobhan and I headed to RiverCross Ranch in Springbank, AB as a potential location to shoot The Weather. RiverCross Ranch was built as the set for a TV series called Wild Roses. The series didn't last long as it was in competition with the family favourite, Heartland. Rather than letting the set be torn down as was intended, the Springbank community came together to help maintain it. A foundation was added to the set, and RiverCross Ranch is now home to a c


Storyboarding Has Commenced
Although the script for Auryon is still in the final stages of editing and The Stand Up is still in the writing process, The Weather is ready to be storyboarded! Storyboarding, in case your film terms are rusty, is the process of drawing out all the shots the Director and Director of Photography (DOP) want for the entire film. It can be rather tedious (particularly when your director is only mildly competent at drawing), but is a super important step for making sure everyone
